Frequently Asked Questions
What are the College hours and Certificate IV course times?
The college is open from 8-5pm, Monday to Friday. Certificate IV courses run one day per month for ten months, from 9:30am to 4:15pm.
How does the Traineeship process work?
To assist the National College of Business in getting you the funding it uses an Australian Apprenticeship Centre (ACC).
The Australian Apprenticeship Centre assists you with all the processes required in employing an apprentice or trainee. It registers your trainee, advises on training options and pays you the Commonwealth Government incentive of up to $4,000 (eligibility criteria applies). For more information go to www.apprenticeshipsinfo.qld.gov.au
If one of your team qualifies for a traineeship you will receive funding of $1500 three months from the commencement of the traineeship and then $2500 on completion of the training at no cost to you!
How can I help team players with their training?
- Encourage your team player to be each and every session every week.
- Your team player may become more positive about their career with you! Be interested and excited about the program they are participating in. Chat with them about the ideas they generate. The power of the program lies in the knowledge AND the ACTION taken as a result.
- Keep an open mind to the suggestions that your team player may have after they attend particular sessions. We will be encouraging them to share these with you. Allow them to experiment and try new things in the business based on their learning.
- Become familiar with their Assignment Workbook. This will help you understand what they are learning, so you can help with information and ideas. You can share information about your business with them so they can directly apply what they are learning.
