NCB launches Australias first franchisee course

Thu, 28 Jan 10

Brisbane’s very own National College of Business has once again paved the way with the launch of Australia’s first business course designed for franchised businesses.

Starting in February this year, NCB’s CEO Danyelle Mailer said the course had been tailor-made to heighten the success experienced by franchisees.

“This course will address the unique qualities that make a franchise work while also focussing on business education and financial management of the franchise,” Danyelle said.

“People buy franchises because the branding, marketing and systems are already well established, so it’s important to optimise the benefits of this existing infrastructure.

“This course is very much grounded in reality and we would recommend it to anyone who owns a franchise no matter how big, how small, how new, how old, how quiet or how busy.”

The coursework will be centred around actual franchisee businesses, providing coaching, leadership, support and fun.

“You’re not taking time ‘out’ from your franchisee business, you’re dedicating time ‘on’ your business,” Danyelle said. "Only one day per month is required for face-to-face interaction, so it’s suitable for franchise owners from regional areas. We have students who travel as far as Sydney to attend our courses.”

Consistent with NCB’s “street smart” approach to education, the course was developed in collaboration with franchisors and founders of Fruition Tuition who have successfully completed Level 1 and Level 2 of NCB’s Business Mastery Course.

So convinced of its benefits, Antony and Sherrin Gugenberger have recommended the course to all 20 of its Fruition Tuition franchisees.

“Some of our franchisees have already completed the Business Mastery Course and have seen improvements to their bottom line,” Sherrin said.

Sherrin said NCB’s Franchisee Mastery Course was an investment in yourself, your team, your business growth and in your future.

“As a franchisor, our primary focus is to empower our franchisees to have successful, vibrant and profitable businesses through providing excellent business, learning, training and support systems,” Sherrin said.

“The NCB Franchisee Business Mastery Course is specifically designed to equip franchisees with up-to-date business leadership skills and thinking that will further transform and optimise their business performance and outcomes.”
