What is 1 thing you love about being in your business/industry?
We love making a difference by improving the quality of life of children with disabilities. Our motto “live, laugh, play”. I enjoy facing new challenges each day as each child’s needs are individual and unique. Finding the right equipment solution is unbelievably rewarding. To see a 5 year old child walk for the very first time, to see the smile on that’s Childs face and the tears in the parents eyes, means we have made a difference. And that smile on that’s child’s face is sooooooo rewarding! I wish everyone could share this experience, it really puts life into perspective.
What is the greatest learning experience you/your business has encountered?
The business evolved as I was sourcing equipment from overseas for my own child who was born with a rare type of muscle wasting disease. Doctors, therapists and families saw what I had imported for Bailey and wanted to know how they could purchase similar equipment. The equipment was not boring grey old medical looking equipment, it was fun, funky yet functional. It didn’t scream “disability”, in fact wherever we went it would initiate conversations and open people’s minds. So I basically started the business as a hobby to help other families out. The business has grown substantially over the last 4years, with the biggest growth experienced in the last 12months. My greatest learning experience has been recognising Special Needs Solutions as a “real” business, it is no longer a hobby, and I have the National College of Business and my amazing, exhilarating Coach Simon Bell to thank for that.
If your business was a place/location/landmark, where would it be and why?
Out of this world, on the moon because we are always reaching new heights and aiming for the stars!!

The foundation is in its infancy and will be fully operational by end of 2011. “There are many children falling between the gaps and Govt. Funding only covers a small portion of many children’s equipment needs.” If your business is looking for a way to create a difference in the community and would like to contribute towards the Foundation, Tiffany would be happy to talk to you about become a founding member and the ways in which you could assist.
